The St. Joseph Arts Council announced the upcoming concert with Father David Hemann on Sunday, June 1 at 4:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, 1305 Okoboji Ave, Milford. Father David will present a meditative, contemplative, with an Irish flavor and a few upbeat surprises concert of his own songs and well-known favorites. Doors will open at 4 p.m. This is a free concert, a free will donation will be accepted. A “Welcome to Okoboji Summer Sundae” reception will follow the concert in the parish center.

Sacred Heart Parish in Sioux City will host a Parish Skill School June 9-11. Students will be able to learn a skill while having fun and focusing on the faith. Skill areas will be sports, art, cheer and more. Cost is $30.

The Archdiocese of Dubuque Hispanic Ministry is offering the Encuentro y Camino de Esperanza retreat at St. Patrick Church/San Patricio at 8th and Washington Streets in Cedar Falls. Retreat is June 14.

Fundraiser for the shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption. Mass is at 4:30 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul. Festival and silent auction begin at 5:30 p.m. Live auction begins at 6:45 p.m. There will be food, beverages, games, entertainment and tours as well as the auctions.
