Divine Mercy events 2022

Ashton St. Mary

A service and adoration will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Confession will be available during adoration.

Hospers St. Anthony
A Holy Hour will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, which will include adoration, reflection, sacrament of reconciliation and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. A reception will be held afterwards. 

St. Mary's, Rock Valley
Spanish Mass at 1 p.m.
Dancers from 2 - 3 p.m.
          Confession will be available during this time.
3 p.m.  Divine Mercy Rosary with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
4 p.m.  Meal 

Sioux City, Cathedral of the Epiphany
A bilingual Divine Mercy celebration will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Cathedral of the Epiphany Church. The celebration will include a preached holy hour with recitation of the Divine Mercy chaplet. Confessions will be available the whole hour for those in attendance.

Divine Mercy Sunday is April 24, 2022

Sioux City, Holy Cross
A Divine Mercy Novena will take place from April 18 to April 23 in the Marian Center at Trinity Heights. Adoration and the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be held at 7 p.m. A Divine Mercy Sunday celebration will be held on April 24 at Holy Cross, St. Michael Church. Adoration and confessions will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and reflection at 3 p.m. Father Shane Deman will be the guest speaker.

Storm Lake, St. Mary

 St. Mary Parish will have a holy hour from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the church with a singing of the chaplet at 3 p.m. and a benediction to follow.  

Wesley St. Joseph and Whittemore St. Michael
Divine Mercy Catholic Parish invites you to a special Divine Mercy Sunday Celebration on April 24 at Wesley St. Joseph Church and Whittemore St. Michael Church. The celebration will begin at 2 p.m. in each church with exposition/adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and confessions. The special “Hour of Mercy” will be at 3 p.m., which will include a beautiful song of reflection, readings, prayers and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in song.  Refreshments will follow in the church halls.

Willey, St. Mary
A Divine Mercy prayer service will be held at St. John Paul II, St. Mary Church in Willey. Eucharistic adoration will begin at 2:30 p.m. The Divine Mercy men’s choir will sing the chaplet. Benediction will close the gathering at 3:30 p.m. Confession will be offered during the hour. Jesus told St. Faustina that “the soul that will go to confession and receive holy Communion (on Divine Mercy Sunday) shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” You can receive the sacrament of confession on this day or within 20 days before or after Divine Mercy Sunday. ​
